Day 1... am
Somewhat aware of an early start I set my alarm for 0700, hoping to get a shower in before the team turned up to start demolishing. I was wrong, I managed to just get to the conditioning process when the doorbell rang. People who know me are most likely to be questioning my "conditioning" of my hair, let's just say that I want to keep the little amount of hair that I have, and if someone tells me conditioning will help that, than I'll be damned if I'm not going to condition!
As I was saying... The wrecking crew arrived and got started, cutting the power and water supply, and redirecting it so I have some sort of an ability to survive. Which brings us to an interesting point, Why have I chosen to live in a construction zone for the next 200 and something days?
I'd like to say that I'm doing it for the adventure, but the truth is I am an unemployed former student, with a financial deficit that rivals that of the US.
So the demolishing, spa bath, GONE... replaced with a washer and dryer...
Kitchen... GONE
Bathrooms... GONE
No need to really go into it, the pictures speak for themselves... (so I'll be sure to take some)
We are installing a temporary wall to try and keep the dust out of this side of the house, I don't know if it'll work but all we can do is try...
I'm off to Lismore for the "Passion for Peace" program, should be passionate and peaceful, at least I hope it's passionate and peaceful.
