Day 250

Given the numerical value of the day, it seemed only right that something go wrong... again... It appears as though I left the other side of the house at just the right time... Courtesy of a few termites... Well the pictures speak for themselves really....

Whilst the above damage was caused by termites, the picture below was the demise of an 18-19 year old bathroom, by humans...

No word on how much of a delay this new found problem may bring about, so I'm just going to drink another beer and watch Brisbane damage Collingwood some more...

Day 248

Not really that much to say, other than colds aren't as enjoyable as they used to be... Enjoy the photo's...
Starting off with the upstairs Kitchenette/Bar no. 4
The view from the lake, note the size of the water tanks to the left...
Upstairs master suite
Kitchen...

Pool shot...
Back to the kitchen because Blogger wants it so...

Shower heads... there's two, because that's the new water saving techniques advised by the City Council, "Shower with a Friend"
The old dwelling, oh the memories, the guests, the food, the rat...

And making the first appearance on Slow Demise, the owners and Family at the first official breakfast of the Regime Fortress (name likely to change...)
What a feast!
Rumour has it that there is a high liklihood of a one month completion date, so given the standard formula, in 6 months time the demise may finally be complete and the living allowed to begin...

Day 228

And the shock sets in, two posts in the same week, has to be a record of late, however, due to popular demand I am putting a significant effort in attempting more regular updates...

So let's see, what has been noteworthy in the last few days...

Oh another neighbor decided to stop by and distract the brickies from completing my fortress, apparently she was upset and disturbed that we don't want to see her or anyone else anymore... Which I always thought was relatively obvious... I mean let's face it, all they seem to do is concentrate on this particular house, the MWAC'S need to find another cause, this one is shutting up shop... as soon as the gate goes on...

To illustrate the fortress element some photo's of the front of house...

A little more of the new sports bar/old lounge room

For those of you wondering just how I managed to sprain my ankle on a missing step, well you try and navigate this one in the middle of the night!!!

That's all for now, more photo's when something else happens I guess...

Day 224

Well look at that, at long last I am finally posting an update... Who would have thought that I would still be her e 224 Days later, still here on the same side of the house, typing away on a new computer though, so that is kind of cool... A few things have happened since we last spoke, my injury tally has gone up considerably, not only managing to fall through a glass window which necessitated a quick trip to the hospital and a stitch, but I also managed to sprain my ankle last week after the builders removed a step and thought it would be fun no to tell me about it!

Injury counts aside...

The new fence was hit by graffiti artists who thought it would be fun to paint this on the wall...

Then a disgruntled neighbor who is attempting to sell her house because she is unable to handle trees coming down, decided that the artwork may actually devalue her house... Which is ironic because I am reasonably certain that she may have had a role in the artwork... Regardless she decided to add to the graffiti by well it's hard to put into words, so here's another photo...
So as you can tell, the sanity factor of the street has failed to improve over the last forty odd days...

Other happening include a considerable amount of work on the house, including plastering which makes the whole house look very nice, walls are fun... Future plasters take note, ensure that there are no random animals in the roof before you cover it back up...

Allow me to set the scene, it's just past midnight, I have just gotten home from the pub, feed the animals, well 2 of the 3 anyway, I could here the other cat, I just couldn't find it... Until I realised they had plastered the roof, and then... the cat... inside the roof... Two hours latter I finally managed to free the feline through the roof, not before I woke dad up mind you... I like to share the pain....

Many more stories to tell, but I think I should let it take place over a period of time... I promise to update more regularly as the demise begins its final stage... at least I hope it's almost in its final stages... time will only tell!

And of course, plenty of photos for you all...
