In other news, I opened the freezer the other day and discovered that something was rotten in the house of freezing... You'll have to take my word that no trick photography has been used in the following pic....
An icicle has formed that leads up from the ice tray, believe it or not this was the best photo I could get, if there are any explanations out there, leave a comment so I can get some sleep!!!

You have witnessed the articial creation of a stalagmite as opposed to a stalactite. this is a deposit of water in the form of an icicle standing like a pillar.
Alternatively, it could be that something very eciting is happening in that freezer that we do not comprehend.
